Resistance and Repression in the Middle East


Lost amidst the commemorations of World War 1 is the imperialist carve up that happened in the Middle East with consequences that are still being felt today.

The latest Western meddling has brought meltdown in Iraq and the continued support of the Israeli state’s assault on the people of Palestine.

The situation in the Middle East will be the focus of discussion at our meeting on Thursday 14th August at 7.30pm in The Link.

The Independence Referendum debate is allowing a focus on the kind of Scotland we want to see.

One of the issues under the spotlight is our education system. Questions about the purpose of education and the system put in place to provide it are concerns that everyone has and will be discussed at our meeting on Thursday 28th August, again in The Link at 7.30pm.
