Continuing the Campaign for a Socialist Scotland….

Happy New Year to everyone and hope 2015 will be good for you.

Our first meeting this year is on Thursday 8th January, in The Link Community Centre in Cumbernauld at 7.30pm.

The meeting will lay plans for our activity as we head into 2015. Whether its continuing our campaign for a £10 an hour minimum wage, against the continued impact of austerity cuts, against local plans for fracking or the countless other issues that we face; we will discuss how best we can continue to present our socialist case in the New Year.

Come along and make campaigning for an independent, socialist Scotland your New Year resolution.

Citizen’s Income?

At our recent Conference the party agreed to investigate the idea of a citizen’s income that would provide every person a basic level of income no matter what their circumstances are. It is a proposal that has attracted interest across various organisations and various different versions have been proposed.

To develop the debate and look at how it would be possible to implement this demand, our branch meeting on Thursday 22nd January, again in The Link at 7.30pm will look in more detail into this idea.
